Year 4 Before and After Assessment Tasks - Pack 1.

The pack covers all of the Year 4 NC objectives. The tasks have been split into the following strands: number and place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions including decimals, measurement, geometry and statistics.

The tasks can be used before teaching the strand as a form of initial assessment which will inform your planning and allow you to pitch your lessons effectively. They can then be given to the children once you have completed the unit to see the progress children have made.

Each sheet contains questions which are differentiated. The tasks with a blue outline indicate a problem solving or reasoning task for those pupils who need a challenge. The activities can also be used as revision tasks, consolidation tasks, home learning tasks or morning activities.

There are 37 units, all of which include answers for children to peer assess or self-assess their work.
